Mental Health First Aid

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Approximately 20% of Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. Completing a MHFA™ Course will help you to develop the skills to support a friend, family member or co-worker.

Having mental health first aid skills means that you can assist someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis and make a real difference to your community.

You will learn how to understand the signs and symptoms of mental illness.

Developing mental health problems:

  • Depression

  • Psychosis

  • Anxiety

  • Substance use

COURSE DELIVERY MODES

We offer face-to-face instructor led training ranging from 4-hour workshops to 2 x 7 hours or split up across 4 sessions. We also offer flexible blended delivery options.

We facilitate corporate workshops and public workshops.

Blended Face-to-Face AND Blended Online Courses include two components:

Blended Mental Health First Aid Courses include two components: a self-paced eLearning component followed by an Instructor-led workshop component that is delivered face-to-face or online using video conferencing technology which offers eLearning course content review and practical skill application.

Blended course options are ideal for many workplaces and specialised settings where 2-day face-to-face training courses are more challenging for course participant attendance.
